SeedDev is a non-profit Educational Technology organization committed to equipping young adults in emerging communities across Africa with the digital and technological skills essential for the future. We recognize the transformative power of technology in shaping industries and job markets, and we are dedicated to bridging the educational and digital divide that prevents millions of young Africans—especially those in rural and sub-urban areas—from accessing and mastering these critical skills.

Our approach is centered on transforming underutilized local libraries, abandoned classrooms, and open spaces into vibrant learning hubs. Through a structured, cohort-based training model, we provide hands-on digital skills training, expose participants to high-demand career opportunities in STEM and digital fields, and inspire them to pursue meaningful careers that drive economic growth and innovation.

To ensure lasting impact, we incubate students through a year-long fellowship program called Seedbox, where fellows meet twice a week to deepen their technical expertise, collaborate on projects, and receive mentorship. As they progress and graduate, they pay it forward by mentoring incoming cohorts—creating a self-sustaining cycle of learning, leadership, and community empowerment.

SeedDev is especially committed to increasing female participation in STEM. Our annual summer residence boot camp provides young women with tailored support, skill-building activities, and networking opportunities to help them navigate the challenges of STEM careers. This immersive experience includes hands-on digital training, renewable energy projects like building solar-powered lamps, and personal development activities such as taekwondo for confidence-building. By integrating technical education with life skills, we empower girls to become resilient and innovative leaders in their communities.

Beyond training, we offer long-term mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and financial assistance for tertiary education. By doing so, we help break the cycle of poverty, positioning our graduates as role models and catalysts for change in their communities.
